Eligibility:
The Contest is open to all movie makers everywhere.
Entry:
Video entries must be in DVD (NTSC) format only.
Entries for the 2008 Contest will be accepted until April 1st, 2008.
Entries arriving after April 1st will not be accepted.
*NOTE* Entry forms will also be accepted by fax until April 1, 2008,
with DVDs and fees arriving no later than April 20, 2008.
Each entry must be on a separate DVD with no other material
and must have a separate entry form. Copies of the form are acceptable.
Title, name and address must be on each DVD.
The producer is responsible for all necessary copyright clearances
for material used in the entry.
All entries must be available for exhibition at the annual Magic
Lantern International Movie Festival, the management of which
reserves the right to copy any or all entries for exhibition and/or
educational purposes.
An entrant may enter any number of entries.
Entries should be mailed First Class, Priority Mail, Express mail,
private overnight delivery (e.g., FedEx, DHL, etc.), United Parcel
Service, registered mail, etc.
For confirmation that your entry was received, please include an SASE.
Receipt of entries will be acknowledged
promptly.
Entries which are to be returned to the sender should be in prepaid
packaging which can be reused or with return packaging and postage
enclosed with the entry.
Entries will be returned only if the return postage fee has been paid.
The contest directors will exercise reasonable care in the handling
and use of all contest entries. Nevertheless, the contest directors
will not be responsible for loss or damage to entries.
The Festival is not responsible for materials not claimed after May 15, 2008.
The Festival is not responsible for materials lost or damaged in transit.
It is recommended that you keep a copy of your completed application and
submitted materials for reference.

Awards:
Best Motion Picture Awards, the number to be decided by the judges,
will be given to those movies judged worthy.
Honorable Mention Certificates may be given to those movies which
the judges consider excellent but not "best".
The judges, at their discretion, may award special prizes for
separate aspects of movie making.
Any entry may win more than one award.
The name which appears as entrant on the entry form will appear on any awards.
Entries will be judged by a panel of several judges. The panel's decisions will be final. There is no appeal.
Winning movies will be announced at the Festival.

Entry Fees must be check or money order in US dollars made payable to Magic Lantern Festival.
Entry fees are as follows:
Entry fees will not be returned.
The Festival reserves the right to impose a $20 surcharge for returned checks.
